The Newsletter - Issue 7
Spring has
finally
set in for good here in Osaka, and all reports tell us that the Cherry
Blossoms will be coming a lot earlier this year. Cherry Blossoms are a
beloved symbol here in Japan, due to their short-lived beauty.
Your customer's view of their purchase can be much like a Cherry
Blossom. The beautiful feeling they had when they clicked your order
button can fade as quickly as a Cherry Blossom's pink blush. One minute
your customer is happily ordering your product - all excited about the
benefits it will bring to them - and the next minute the dreaded
Buyer's Remorse sets in.
Did they make the right decision? Is this really what they need? Can
this help them?
GIVING
YOUR CUSTOMER INSTANT SATISFACTION AVOIDS BUYER'S REMORSE
The
Internet has
conditioned all of us to expect instant gratification. Ten years ago,
we were quite willing to wait a minute for a website to download - now,
we're hitting the back button if we have to wait more than 5 seconds.
To avoid buyer remorse, cater to the need for instant gratification.
Give your customer some instant results. No matter what your subject
matter is, there is always some small benefit that you can help your
customer get right away.
For example, if you're selling a bodybuilding book with a number of
complex exercises. Start your reader off on one easy exercise -
something they can master right away. Make it an exercise where they'll
feel the benefit immediately. Like a certain stomach exercise that they
can easily do, and instantly feel a burn in their stomach muscles.
For a video that teaches wedding cake decoration, start off with the
technique that is the easiest to grasp. Lead your viewer through a
short exercise that they can complete in a few minutes - and have a
pretty cake decoration to show their friends.
These instant results will impress your customer with the wisdom of
their purchase. If these early attempts produced such quick and good
results, they're quite willing to put a bit more effort into your more
complex exercises or projects - the ones that promise even more
fantastic results.
Your customer has gone from being skeptical to happy. They made the
right decision - it was a good buy!
EARLY
RESULTS LEAD TO WORD-OF-MOUTH, CONSUMPTION, AND MORE SALES
Not only
will
instant gratification dispel the dreaded buyer's remorse - and the
unwanted returns - it will also turn customers into evangelists. They
are much more likely to rave about your product if they can see results
so quickly.
Instant results also increases the chance that your customer will fully
consume your product. Too many times people buy info products and never
fully use them, but if they are getting results from the beginning,
they're much more likely to stick with it.
By making it easier for your customer to consume your product, you
increase the chances of them buying from you again.
Take some time for a close look at your info product creation plans.
Figure out how you can give your customer some instant results. The
payoff will be great.
DIGITAL
SPYING IN A NUTSHELL
I was
asked the other day if I could give the idea of my Digital Spy Training
course in a nutshell. So, here's the Coles Notes:
You receive a Dossier with 9 videos taking you step-by-step through 6
assignments. Your goal is to collect some very valuable information
that will help you create top-notch info products and hot sales pages.
1. You set up a simple surveillance operation that pinpoints your
money-making competitors.
2. You analyze the data from your surveillance and choose your targets.
3. You spy on your target competitors and pick up all the important
information, with the help of a special worksheet.
4. You go to another great source and spy on some more of your top
competitors.
5. You take a special look at forums and gauge your market's problems
and questions.
6. You do a bit of research to find answers to your customer's burning
questions.
Why spy? By gathering the info that shows you how your competition is
winning in the marketplace, you can apply this to your product and
marketing ... and get your share of big sales.

I subscribe to a lot of IM

I
do actually open and read Kevin Riley's Product Creation Labs

great marketing tips, and recommends quality products. There
is a lot of noise out there in the IM world, and Kevin provides me and
my internet business with something different - honesty and clear
direction for building an online business.
Thanks
Kevin for the courage to be different by simply providing what most of
us are looking for online - integrity.

Here's
what I like
about PCL newsletters - I always get something of value in them. So, I
am careful not to EVER delete one without reading it (something that I
cannot say for alot of the stuff my inbox gets inundated with).
Besides, you never bore me, Kevin.
