The Newsletter - Issue 2
In these
Product Creation Labs newsletters, I hope to share with you a love of
creation.
See ... I love creating information products. I love the sense of
satisfaction I feel when I finish an e-book or video.
When I was a house builder, I always loved the feeling of satisfaction
on that day when we packed up our tools. I'd turn and look once more at
the house I had built and think, "I built that ... with my own hands."
No matter how many houses I built, that feeling never diminished.
It's the same with creating information products. Well ... the building
is a lot easier, and less painful on the body, LOL.
Over the last half year, I've been making a ton of videos. Every time I
finish another video, I love to sit back and watch my finished work.
With this and future issues of Product Creation Labs, I hope to give
you the opportunity to feel that surge of satisfaction.
It is my fervent wish that you go on to surpass me, and create even
better products.
USE
AGATHA CHRISTIE'S TRICK TO GET YOUR IDEAS POURING IN
Agatha
Christie once said, "The best time for planning a book is while you're
doing the dishes."
If you're sitting there, staring at a blank page on a pristine notepad,
it can be nearly impossible to come up with any ideas. It's like the
well of creativity has dried up and moved to another district.
There's only one thing to do. Get up! Get away from the daunting
emptiness of that blank page. Go for a walk, go to the gym, take a
bicycle ride -- or follow Mrs. Christie's advice, and do the dishes.
As soon as you start breathing harder, creativity increases and ideas
begin to flow. It's like someone flipped a switch in your brain.
Whatever activity you choose, carry a mini-recorder or notepad with
you. Record your thoughts as you go. You'll probably find that you get
more done in that half hour of walking -- iron pumping, cycling, or
dishwashing -- than you could spending the better half of the afternoon
staring at that blank page.
The minute a good idea floats up in your brain, write it down. You want
to fish it out and get it on paper, before it sinks back down into the
depths and gets lost in a boneyard of old forgotten shopping lists,
family birthdays, and login passwords.
When you get home from your ramble, start writing immediately. While
you're still feeling fresh from your walk -- iron pumping, bike ride,
or dishwashing -- sit down and start scribbling. Grow the idea on paper.
Don't stop to check e-mail, post on your forum, or peruse the latest
offering at You Tube. When the muse of ideas is awakened, you don't
want to drive it away with distractions.

Get On Track To Success
Get
your own copy of Product Creation Labs Newsletter delivered directly to
your inbox every Friday.
I subscribe to a lot of IM
newsletters, from the big name gurus, to the little gurus, to the wanna
be gurus…and there are few that I actually read.
I
do actually open and read Kevin Riley's Product Creation Labs
newsletter, because he provides honest reviews of products, provides
great marketing tips, and recommends quality products. There
is a lot of noise out there in the IM world, and Kevin provides me and
my internet business with something different - honesty and clear
direction for building an online business.
Thanks
Kevin for the courage to be different by simply providing what most of
us are looking for online - integrity.

While I am
subscribed to dozens of newsletters, the Product Creations Labs
Newsletter is one of only three that I make sure I read every word of.
I always learn something that helps me make money.
If I have a complaint, it's only that I wish the PCL newsletter came
out more frequently.

Here's
what I like
about PCL newsletters - I always get something of value in them. So, I
am careful not to EVER delete one without reading it (something that I
cannot say for alot of the stuff my inbox gets inundated with).
Besides, you never bore me, Kevin.
