The Newsletter - Issue 10
Over the
last
two weeks, I released two $7 reports which met with fantastic success.
I debuted them on the Warrior Special Offer forum, and received
numerous comments praising the reports.
Although it is always nice to sell a large volume of your product, more
importantly these reports served as a showcase of my product quality.
By giving my customers a report that was much more than just a report,
I ended up with hundreds of very happy customers -- which added to my
reputation and ended up selling a lot of my other products.
So, in this Issue I'd like to quickly go over the mechanics of giving
your customers a report that is much more than a report.
PUTTING
EXTRA VALUE IN YOUR $7 REPORT
There are
a
few things you can do to make your report give incredible value, and
yet remain a 10-30 page report. There is no reason for you to write a
full e-book to up the value of your report. In fact, it's in your
interest to keep the report to one subject only.
You want to give your reader a report that deals with just one problem,
technique, or activity. Keep it simple. If you have another point to
cover, save it for another report. By keeping your report to just the
one subject, you're giving your reader exactly what they bargained for.
So, how do you add extra value?
PROVIDE
GREAT RESOURCES
One
addition
that is always appreciated is a resource section. At the end of your
report, create a page that lists all the useful resources that will
help your reader reach their goal. These could be links to websites or
downloadable tools, telephone numbers, addresses, even names of
magazines.
Of course, if you find some good resources that have affiliate
programs, you can use a cloaked affiliate link and make a little
commission, too. But, make sure you don't just fill your resource
section with affiliate links. Be sure to give your readers some
valuable freebies.
INCLUDE
SOME WORKSHEETS
In my
latest $7 report -- "Recipe For Hot-Selling Sales Letters" (http://recipeforsalesletters.com)
-- I included 9 worksheets and templates to help my readers easily
construct a killer sales letter. The comments I got were awesome, which
led to a lot more sales.
You can easily create a few worksheets for your report. After teaching
your readers something, have them use your worksheet to put the
knowledge to instant use. This has two effects:
1. Your reader feels the value of what they have just learned, because
they can put it into practice.
2. You have added extra content to your report. You've added valuable
material that isn't extra information, but it helps your reader use the
information your report provides.
Look at your report. What are you teaching your reader how to do? What
templates, worksheets, or questionnaires can help your reader?
Whenever you're creating a report, e-book, video consider how you can
help your reader the most. For when your reader succeeds, you will
succeed.
SOME
EXAMPLES
A weekly
guide to the stages of pregnancy: Provide a printout progress sheet
where the couple can record such information as weight gain, strange
food cravings, first movements of the fetus, etc.
A job hunting guide: Provide a printout worksheet that helps the job
hunter consider all their strengths, experiences, knowledge, skills.
Give them a template for writing a good resume. Include templates for
placing help wanted ads and writing introductory letters to companies.
An exercise guide that teaches some killer abs routines: Provide a
simplified printout exercise guide that your reader can easily fold up
and slip in their gym shorts pocket for use during their workout.
Create a progress chart where your reader can record weights,
repetitions, waist measurement.

REPORT COMING SOON
There is a
third report in the works for the "Recipe" series, and I think you're
really gonna like it. Since Rieko and I took a short trip for her
birthday (if you haven't seen the pictures yet, you can see them on my
blog) -- and I am moving most of my stuff into my new office -- there
will be no report released this week.

However, the report will be ready for launch next week. Don't worry,
I'll send you a quick reminder when it debuts.

WEEK'S ISSUE
We'll be
looking at some case studies of product naming, and also the proper use
of fonts to display that name. A good name can make a big difference in
the public's perception of your product -- and the number of sales.
One of these case studies will reveal a serious -- and expensive --
mistake I made 25 years ago in the pre-Internet years.
Until then, have a creative week,
Mission Leader

Here's
what I like
about PCL newsletters - I always get something of value in them. So, I
am careful not to EVER delete one without reading it (something that I
cannot say for alot of the stuff my inbox gets inundated with).
Besides, you never bore me, Kevin.
